Escape (MM243)

Photography as an escape .... 

A few years ago, I was made redundant and within a few weeks my mother had become terminally ill,  I didn't realise it at the time, but I don't suppose anyone would interview well under those circumstances so finding a new job was difficult.   Photography became an escape and this 2nd hand Canon 50D was one of the things I bought intending to give myself something of a diversion and look after my state of mind.  I am also fortunate to have a supportive family who didn't put any pressure on me.  It was not long after this I started with Blipfoto.  

A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and today marks another escape, as we met with our financial adviser and made the final decisions around my pension ... an altogether more positive feeling!

The camera is I suppose, a past escape,  the book, a new one as I will be co-presenting on monochrome conversion for the camera club in a few weeks time.

So I perhaps should get on and learn to do it properly!
