The 'to do' heap

Most people have lists, i end up with heaps, visible reminders of what is to be done:
Garden tools - pruning
Bulbs for planting
'stained glass' for the astragal door
Woodstain for reproofing the door and window frames
Paper and more paper - finances, 'life laundry' (thank you Arclight for that term!)
Photos to be sorted, thinned, put in albums

And, always,...

Books for reading

The trick, i presume, is not to label it all the first lot as mere chores.
