Welcome to Jasper

Day spent travelling from the Icefields to Jasper. On entering Jasper we found this bull Elk and his harem establishing their rights of the fields outside the town. Creating the inevitable traffic jam it was one of the highlights of our trip. Unfortunately it was quickly followed by the lowlight of the tour when the hotel we were supposed to stay at was found to be substandard, dirty and not capable of providing the conditions we had contracted to accept. Several hours of haggling found a compromise, albeit with a split party and a promise to improve for the rest of the trip.
