dbifulco is TT hosting this month, she has not set a specific theme but asked us to look at something really small, or get up close to something large. So I have tried to get up close with the unexpected sunflower (blipped on 8th August), which has now opened.  It is much taller than the 6 foot high fence.  Thank goodness for a camera with a brilliant zoom.  I wanted to concentrate on the pattern in the centre of the flower.  Not turned out too badly considering the wind was really strong and the flower was waving about, it was a case of wait with finger on shutter for a lull and then click quickly.  I have included a a shot without zoom to show the height and a shot of the gorgeous flower itself.
