Sloes...

the hedgerows were blue with them, never seen so many as this year. Walking to the lochan, miles of hedgerow were covered. There were also hips and haws and one left behind Wheatear, poor thing.
The lochan had a huge flock of duck, mostly Wigeon, feeding and ,occasionally, flighting and circling. Also, got a glimpse of a disappearing Sea Eagle, presume a youngster still hanging around. Got a poor shot of it.
Lovely day for walking, warm and dry and this afternoon it was sunny with blue skies.
