Goodbye Ed

Today I spent with Ed who is dying. I first met him many years ago when he won me over with his whistled tunes, his twinkling mischievous eyes and razor sharp wit. At 100 years old wheelchair and housebound he still had an infectious 'joie de vivre'.
Today I thanked him for all our good times and of course my soul mate his granddaughter.
