Polar Bear!

Today’s walk was cancelled as this guy was spotted about 50m from the landing site. We cruised instead and watched him from the zodiac. Very exciting, he hung around for ages sniffing the air and yawning before turning his back on us and walking over the hill. The incessant noise of beeping & clicking cameras probably got too annoying for him! G has much better pics but I was happy just to watch him and be in awe of this beautiful animal.

Later we cruised around the Gerard de Geer glacier with its 50-60m high face and amazing icebergs - extra pic. A fab day.
