Dew of the sea

Winter nears
But the tiny, violet-blue flowers persist.
Dew of the sea in my coastal garden.
Rosemary.
Emblem of fidelity
Shores up memory
Protects against disease
And sheltered the Virgin Mary.
It brings warmth and scent and life
And comforts the dead.
