Standing tall....

A bitter sweet day (back blip)

My teen 2 went off to work.
Teen 1, babygirl husband and I headed to Portland Bill for a day of exploring.

Teen 2 was heading to friends after work and then a party locally.


Sadly the day took a very sad twist and my Teen2 ended up in hospital unconscious, hyperthermic n low bloody pressure.

Watching your child non responsive.
Not knowing what she's drunk or taken.
Broken hearted!!

She was rushed through to resus at SGH. 9.15pm. She'd only been at this party for an hour!!

They worked on her. Placing her in a heater air bag pumping hot air in to raise her body temperature. They attempted to get a line in for IVs which took many attempts as her body was so cold.

Finally they got a vein and IVs in. Bloods taken to find out what was going on!

Felt like a life time til she came round! 2.30am!

Not one memory or recelection of what had happened or where she was!

One very very lucky girl to have some amazing friends around her who acted fast and contacted us.....

Hopefully a lesson she will never forget or repeat!!

I will never forget. Still reduces me to tears thinking about her just laid there, none responsive, the not knowing!

This parenting lark!! Hardest job I've EVER done!!!
