Day 1 In Paris
We decided to power through to the 11 p.m. show at Moulin Rouge and get that accomplished. Neither of us knew quite what to expect. It was crowded and we felt herded into the theatre to begin with, but with a little luck and a little help from Ann's friend back in Santa Barbara, we were ushered to a very nice little table for 2 with a perfect view. The show was great with wonderful costumes and fanfare. A bottle of champagne which we couldn't finish after a very reasonably priced fixed price dinner and desert.
Extra is the view from the sitting room to the bath in our little "Junior Suite". A very elegant and very old hotel with about 15 guest rooms, one of which belonged to the woman who invented the Can-Can and another of which was Oscar Wilde's favorite place to stay. All the lotions and potions to take away the weariness of travel.
