Just after a Squall

15C Storm Ali. Wind picked up mid morning. Very heavy squally showers with average wind speeds above 45 mph for several hours and with gusts above 66 mph (from 11am to 3pm). Winds S or SSW, then W/WSW later. Top recorded gust at the airport was 71mph.

My little car had its service this morning.

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour, sheltered over by the Picture House through a squall, then carried on along the park and Kilkerran road to the cemetery. It was amazingly bright between the squalls.

We came back the same way then along the street side of the park and came home through town passing the town hall and the bookshop (closed for half day). Fergus was blown dry on the way back home.

No music or podcasts while walking today. I would not have heard a podcast over the wind noise.

Afternoon music ... BBC Radio Scotland.
