Praha
Prague is a great European city and I agree with what I wrote last year about it deserving its place amongst the best. Stumbling more than walking because it was so hot, and with lime Calippos essential fuel, we reached the castle and enjoyed the city views. It was hard to find a position on the ramparts amongst the many people taking whimsical selfies of themselves staring across the river, but it was possible with some effort.
In the afternoon, a train to Turnov between Prague and the Polish border. Train connections in the Czech Republic are complicated and not well signed, yet conductresses will guide you if you only have a few minutes.
Turnov was extremely quiet given that it's supposed to be a centre for tourists who want to visit another of the country's scenic areas, Bohemian Paradise. One of its main streets has been entirely dug up for renovations, which was an ordeal to traverse.
The best course of action after checking in was beer, chips and fried cheese.
