Talk at the Fort

Up to Newhaven Fort for a talk on the Military History of Seaford by our wonderful local historian, Kevin Gordon. Normally this wouldn't be a favourite topic for me, being a pacifist, but he focuses on the people caught up in it all rather than the tactics/violence.  Seaford played host to many soldiers from abroad in the two world wars, principally Canadians and Indians and they are remembered in the memorials and cemeteries.

The extra is the view of the harbour from the Fort with the Transmanche ferry tied up.
