Monet, Monet, Monet
It was an early start for us this morning as we tried to beat the crowds making Monet's Garden at Givenchy their destination for the day.
We had docked overnight at Vernon, only about a 15 minute drive away, and the coaches were waiting for us before 8.30am. The tour manager's decision worked, as we were first in line for the gates opening and were there before the place got really busy later in the morning.
First up, the Lily Pond (pictured) before we visited the superb formal gardens and then Monet's house. We had plenty of time to wander around at our own pace before rejoining our coaches for the journey back to the ship.
A free afternoon, during which I wandered around the small town of Vernon, and then we set sail for Paris just before 5pm. Only one more full day to go and then it's a return to reality.
