My poor wee Mini Cooper was whacked by flying shingles during the height of Hurricane Sandy so I called the insurance company yesterday to file a claim and make an appointment to have the adjuster look at the damage.

The backyard birdies had pooped all over it and I just couldn't bring it to the shop without first giving it a blip bath.

Things are slowly returning to normal here in our town - I've done my Thanksgiving shopping and will bake my pumpkin and apple-pear pies tomorrow.
