One of those...

...journey’s home.

All trains cancelled because of storm Ali...or so I was told on the Scotrail app and when I questioned staff at Waverley, who admittedly were referring to the same app I have!

Headed to Princes Street to catch a bus, No.38 to Camelon came along so jumped on that because Camelon is closer to Stirling than Princes Street. Sat my backside down and that Metro front page was staring up at me.

108 stops and two hours later I was dropped in Camelon. On the journey home Scotrail started emailing me telling me a that a train that they told me was not running was going to arrive in Stirling 21 minutes late...grrrrr!

My options were wait 10 minutes for another No.38 that would take me to the bottom of my street but would take another hour to get there.

Wait 20 minutes for a train that was now running that would take me to Stirling and I could then cycle home in the dying throws of storm Ali.

Call MrR to rescue me from Camelon.

I went for option three. He and the Rooster arrived 20 minutes later and delivered me home, via Lidl, for a bottle of wine and some chocolate!

Grateful for my knights in a Volkswagen Sharan.
