Forde Abbey

I was a little disappointed that Forde Abbey had very little of the "abbey" about it, but it is a stupendous place – gorgeous on the outside and very interesting on the inside.  The gardens are very attractive, not formal (for the most part) but varied in elevation and colour, particularly at this time of the year.
