eternal rest

I walked the Esquimalt & Nanaimo railway track south. It follows the Trans Canada Highway for a kilometer or two. Then it veers to the west and away from the highway while it crosses the Koksilah River. The railway follows the Koksilah River into the village of Cowichan Station. There the river gradually meanders west and the railway continues south.

I walked a small section of the railway following the Koksilah River. I saw bear scat, a dead muskrat on a railway bridge, a dead mouse and a dead raven. I heard a hawk and saw a hawk flying overhead. Rain fell. I was wet, my coat, my pants and my shoes. A rain shower, a sunny break followed by another rain shower.

The water level in the Koksilah River is back to normal.
