Mountain Race Weekend

Quite some action this weekend in our otherwise quiet little town. For the 4th time the Memorial Mountain Race takes place, with more than 250 fast oldtimers.

The event goes back to the years 1955 and 1962 when the original races took place. Afterwards all car races in Switzerland were forbidden. The revival was in 2007 when some local people got permission for a memorial race. It’s now organized as a “Memorial Corso”, i.e. the goal is to present the historical vehicles and there is no time measurement and no ranking.
