Backblip
Bergerac - Day #1
We arrived at around 10:30am, spent 40 minutes waiting in a queue to pick up the car and were then on our way - first stop was the huge supermarket to pick up supplies as we are self catering. Bread, pate, cheese, salad etc were purchased and then we were on our way to one of our favourite Holiday Property Bond sites. Constant is a small purpose built village of 60 properties, 3 pools, 2 games rooms and a bistro. The bread van comes every morning, they have a small shop onsite, a fish van, pizza van and a local artisan "market" that come on various nights so it's easy to keep yourself fed and watered, even if you don't want to hire a car. We like to travel around to the various places nearby so we always hire a car.
We picked up our apartment keys soon after 12:30, which was great as normally you can't get in until around 3pm on changeover day as the cleaners need to do their thing first. Lunch on the patio under the umbrella was first as we were both really hungry and it was nearly 30 degrees so quite hot. Then we went for our usual wander around to see if anything had changed but did not come across that many people - a few by one of the outdoor pools and another couple who were apparently on our flight. A small nap in the afternoon soon followed and then I went on another wander to find my blip. There were a few butterflies around, but after returning back "home" we had a visit from this partridge to our terrace - not sure why it was wandering around and we never saw it again, but I think it makes a nice blip.
