Diner

One of by local pubs has transformed into an American style diner.

As it's the only eatery open today and the Media Guardian needed to be read somewhere warm and interesting, I give it a go.

Despite the recession, the banquettes were over half full, the menu reasonably priced and the food good for what it was (excellently flavoured jalapeno salsa and well balance guacamole).

The only thing missing was John Travolta and Uma Thurman dancing in the aisles...

.. oh yes, and PLATES!
