St Andrews.

Decided after three hectic days with L&N we needed a wee drive & as Lesley’s foot still bothering her little walking. So away to St Andrews & forgot the freshers start soon so very busy. Nightmare to park as usual but got one near the toon.
Nice spot of lunch in a new place as the one we used to go to has closed down. Left L to hobble to the one or two shops she wanted to see & I went down to the harbour & abbey graveyard. I wanted to see the grave of Young Tom Morris probably one of the best golfers in the 1800’s. We saw the film
‘Tommy’s Honour’ a while back and this poor chap died at the young age of 24 having won the The Open Golf Championship four times. They say he died of a broken heart.
Truly a tragic tale.
