Sound II
Despite the rain we had a good day in Winchester seeing the sights. We arrived at the Cathedral early and didn't have to wait in the queue which had formed outside by the time we were leaving. On to the water mill via the remaining city gate, St Lawrence church, the walls and the Bishop's palace.
Anthony Gormley's statue Sound II stands in the crypt, occasionally in water when the flood waters rise. The sediment left behind is visible on his calves. More info here
Edit: a previous blip of one nearer home here

In the extra, some less skilful artwork on one of the pillars.
The weather tomorrow looks dire for the morning, but better in the afternoon - no plans yet!
