Long walk

We set off from Southwark at 7.20 am this morning for our marathon walk and 26.2 (+2, from hotel/to Waterloo) miles, many in the rain, several blisters and nine hours later, we finished! It feels like quite an achievement.

Got home to find that Basil had had a bottom incident (he’s still not right) so spent half an hour cleaning up...not quite the relaxing soak in the bath I’d envisaged! Feet up now though and Mr DA has gone to the chip shop to hunt and gather.

In other news, Son1+1 have safely returned from their Cornish break.
