La Vie En Rose

Saturday was disembarkation day at the end of our week-long cruise on the River Seine. We had to vacate our cabins by 9am, so after breakfast most of the passengers made themselves comfortable in the lounge to wait for their airport or Eurostar transfer, while others who were staying on in the city or making their own arrangements disembarked and went on their way.

Those flying to Edinburgh were to be the last group leaving, and as our pick-up wasn't until 1pm, I took the opportunity to have a wander ashore for an hour or so. Passed a florist's shop along the way and was struck by the colours on display, remembering we were in the second half of September. A bright end to an excellent holiday.
