Tartan fields

After heavy rain this morning JJ and I decided on a walk this afternoon but before we got far we found an elderly neighbour who'd been weeding and couldn't get up.  His Pyrenean Mountain Dog let us through the gate but between us we couldn't lift him, so I went off to find a neighbour.  We eventually got him onto a chair and after a lot of palaver got him indoors.  If he wasn't so stubborn and wore his alarm he would have been rescued a lot quicker.

The wood was a mess of leaves and fallen twigs but no serious damage after the wind and heavy rain. 

This is a view across the valley and looks rather pleasant at the moment.
