Skipping Off - Again
Today we were going to start the great garden clear-up. Last week's gales dealt the final blow to the wild overgrowth of a fantastic summer. The compost heaps will be overflowing.
But this morning was so beautiful, still and warm, blue skies and fluffy white clouds - we just had to head to the coast.
This is the view from the coastal path at St Abb's Head. It should have been a perfect day for photography but I struggled with the light, the sun was so low and so bright. Perfect walking weather though.
We had lunch in St Abb's before setting off - I got a taste of TM's Cullen Skink, wish I'd chosen it instead of chicken and rice.
Before that we'd been in the gallery at Number Four and fell in love with a nice little piece of glass. It will surely feature here at sometime. It's inspired by a wave, the colours are much as the ones in the picture.
A lovely day. I hope we get a few more like it before autumn sets in.
