m and p

Loved seeing some of my late Mum’s dearest friends today. They live in the most glorious corner of the Lakes, on the shore of Lake Windermere (on the less touristy side). It’s quiet and beautiful and we all felt thoroughly desperate to go a little further into Lakeland and up some mountains. Next time! Antony probably felt less desperate as he’d completed a triathlon earlier in the day.

We stayed in M’s beautiful home during our Lakeland holiday last summer. It was lovely to see how it’s been refurbished since then and to catch up with M and P and reminisce a little about Mum. I was amused to find them babysitting their son’s dog, they aren’t people I’d imagine with a dog at all. But she was very lovely. Eve and Zeke enjoyed running around their massive garden (and we developed major garden envy)!
