Bricking It

D and I took Poppy and her friend into town. Obviously, we all split up and did our own thing but D took me for coffee and lunch.
My brother and the boys were at mum and dads this afternoon so I popped over. Alf sorted out a few football shirts he wanted to pass on to Louis so they picked those up on their way past and enjoyed playing with Poppy’s old Lego. They didn’t seem the least put off by the fact that most of it is pink.

D and I met 30 years ago today, a date we only remember because it was a week after my 20th birthday. Now here we are, a week after my 50th birthday and a lot of water has gone under the bridge. Can’t complain though, he’s cooking dinner and I’m sure that any minute now, he’ll come over and top up my Prosecco glass. Could be a lot worse.
