Gall?

Whatever it is, it's firmly affixed to this oak leaf. It's softish, but not squishy or gooey. And it's a lovely bright orange on an otherwise gloomy wet day and dull brown leaf. I expect its texture has been affected to some degree by the copious rain.

It's officially Fall and it's very cool and rainy. Blip mojo still nowhere to be found.
