Notes from a bald-eagle

By Aquila

Pentland Hills Sunset

A beautiful clear sky in the west to end the day, just before the clouds rolled over! Luck was with me on Friday when the star-gazing event I had organised looked like being a non-event with thick clouds obscuring the sky. I interrupted my boring talk about constellations for a quick trip outside and lo and behold, the clouds parted as we walked across the park! One of the best views of Jupiter I've seen, complete with the four Galilean moons, all in a line, when viewed through the telescope. Sigh of relief from me and happy faces all round.
