A good day for wildlife!
Sunday
When we first started out on our walk at Rowe Woods this afternoon, I wasn’t too optimistic on the blip front - it was a grey day (though dry), the leaves have hardly started turning yet, the main flower around at the moment is goldenrod which I blipped the other day, and then the first pond we stopped by seemed to be devoid of turtles or frogs! However, as you can see from my collage, I ended up being spoiled for choice! The second pond turned up the usual turtles, and after some careful looking, a few frogs, then we passed several interesting sorts of fungi, and later went on to see a chipmunk and a deer, and found some pretty fallen leaves in one of the stream crossings.
