Jerez to Estepona.
We took a road less travelled, mostly through a national park, meeting few cars but many motos, cyclists and a friendly horse. It was accompanied by an extremely shy donkey, who failed to feature on camera.
Estepona has changed significantly since our last visit some twenty years ago. The old town has been beautified, gentrified, cauterised and sterilised to an extent that we hardly recognised it. Neither did our sat nav soI we had a job finding our hostel. Had to do that on foot.
Our room has a large terrace overlooking the Plaza de Flores, and a construction site. So Spain getting back to the good old days it would appear.
Dined all fresco, courtesy of a retired merchant navy captain from Cadiz who shared our dismay at the you know whos submerging his home town. Quite philosophical however, saying that there are no tourists, just fellow travellers.
Vamos a la playa, calient el sol.
