Newcastle, County Down
The Ards Man and I had a rare Sunday treat yesterday and drove down to Newcastle. It would have blown you away on the promenade!
The occasion was the 60th birthday of one of my school/university chums, which was not to be missed! We had lunch in Olive Bizarre, a great wee cafe with fun loos, kitted out with artificial lawns, flowers and gnomes.
This is a view across the bay from the harbour, where the cafe was situated; it shows the Slieve Donard Hotel and Royal County Down golf club, beloved of Tiger, Rory et al.
