Enjoying The Autumn Sun

This Red Admiral was basking in the welcome sunshine in the garden this morning. Worryingly, this is probably the first Red Admiral to visit our garden all summer.

Monday seems to have become our day for doing domestic jobs and we've managed to get a lot done today: touching up the patchy bits in the kitchen we painted last Monday, putting a waterproof sealant on the garage wall, taking the garden waste to the recycling centre, chopping more kindling and sorting out the possibility of changing our gas and electricity supplier.

Time for a cup of tea. Butter pie anyone?
