Istanbul

The journey from hell, over 8 hours sat in a car or plane. I didn't think my back would survive that but its stood up well. The nightmare was not the Monday morning traffic to B'ham airport or the flight delay (both are normal) but the 2hr40, 43km,  taxi transfer from airport to hotel in the chaos called Istanbul !
Apparently it was entirely predictable because Fenerbahçe are playing a local derby against Besiktas. So guess what my first question in the office will be tomorrow.


Anyway I am here now and having arrived at the airport in afternoon sun, watched a great sunset in the taxi, I have now have a night shot from the roof terrace looking back across the Marmara Denizi to the European side.
