After days of greyness it was wonderful to see the sun and blue skies today. I like the little white cloud half-hidden on the horizon.

Dartmouth was very quiet today. Plenty of parking spaces in town. The park-and-ride at the top of the hill is closed. The boathire's gone away till next year. And the wind was quite chilly. Roads very puddly.

If I could have snapped it in time I'd have photographed the trees' shadows across the road we drove along - the horizontal lines on the tarmac created a giant barcode. If I'd had a massive scanner I could probably have bought the road - and thus begun my Christmas shopping. As it is, I've barely started ...
