Loki the Barn Owl

This evening was the AGM for the Clean Up, Green Up Charfield group and, like all the best and most sensible organisations, the AGM lasted about five minutes. After that, we were treated to a lengthy and engrossing talk by David and Lynne from the Hawk and Owl Trust, along with Loki, a male barn owl.

Loki is quite used to cameras, and wasn't phased in the slightest by the huge black macro lens, which got a bit closer than this shot suggests. I like this full body shot though, and his feathers are exquisite. The glove is plainly very necessary too; he was a little mischievous...

Tomorrow, I will be at Bristol Zoo for a Blipmeet with fitzbilly. If anyone else fancies joining us I'll be on the boardwalk inside the main entrance lobby at about 10:30. Do pop along if you can.
