NEW JACKET

Cold was worse this morning.  And sinusitis has reared its ugly head.  But I had an appointment at Specsavers for an eye test this afternoon so I made my way to Newcastle.  Not much change in my eyesight but I decided to get a new pair of glasses anyway so I can keep my present ones as a spare pair.  There are a lot of frames to choose from but I always seem to have trouble finding a pair I like.  Today I only saw one frame I liked - but one is enough I guess.  I got a  25% discount for being over 60 but the complete glasses still cost around £190.( I need varifocals )

I did a bit of shopping after my eye test and amongst other things I bought a down jacket. ( easy to pack for my hols ).   I'm always amused that down jackets have a little plastic transparent capsule attached to the label which contains a sample of down.  I wonder why.  So as the capsule is quite small I am using it for my Tiny Tuesday blip.  Thanks dbifulco to for hosting. 

The cat flap has not proved to be a success. Tino continues to use it - but only if I open it for him.   Lily is afraid of it.  I'm hoping things get better eventually.

Becky and Mike had a wonderful day yesterday.  They ran across The Hoover Dam - temp was 38 degrees.  In the evening they went to see Penn & Teller - they are famous magicians.  Today they ran 6 miles along the Las Vegas Strip.  Then they checked out of the Venetian Hotel and checked in to the Bellagio Hotel.  They were married in the Bellagio 10 years ago today so they wanted to stay there again on their 10th anniversary.  I have put a wedding photo in my Extras as well as one taken today.
