Lobster Mushroom

Today I found several beautiful big fresh young specimens. This mushroom is engulfing its host ( a gilled mushroom) in a layer of bright orange tissue, making the whole thing look more or less like an upside down pyramid. Belongs to a group called flask fungi. It is often as big as a fist or two, and breaks with it's top through stony soil  at the side of a road, or , like here , through moss. The gills of the host mushroom appear like blunt ridges as you can see in the picture. Inside it is white and firm, when young and healthy. You have to sautéeand eat it quickly, then it is delicious.
When it gets older it is not so attractive anymore...
Thanks for your kind feedback for the tresle picture.
