Predictive Programming?

Apologies in advance for a blatantly political post today.

When I saw the footage of The Don getting laughed at as he bragged about the astounding accomplishments of his administration, I was struck by the sincerity of his response, "Well, I certainly didn't expect that reaction." The fact that he seemed so genuinely surprised made me wonder, "How is it that this man is so unaware of just how much of a buffoon the international community considers him to be? Is it that his narcissism refuses to allow him to see the blatantly obvious? Or is he being shielded from the truth by his cabinet?"

In the depths of his blind narcissism, the tyrant Chief Judge Caligula genuinely believed that every single citizen in Mega City One worshiped him. When realisation dawned upon him that he was universally despised, his ego snapped and he vowed to make the entire population of Mega City One suffer.

What will The Don do to the world when the same realisation dawns upon him?
