Waxwing Wednesday

The waxwings are here! All the way across the sea to eat the berries on our trees. The BTO predicted a waxwing year and I'm glad to see they were right!

There was a little flock of people gathered at the end of our street, one from as far as Melrose with his massive Gitzo tripod and 500mm lens. My paltry 300 looked like a baby for once!

In other news, we made brilliant gingerbread men with this BBC recipe. Yum!
