Wet and windy New York

Well, the big Apple threw everything at us today! This was early in the day on a hop on top off bus. We hopped off at the City Hall and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge to Dumbo and Fulton Road, an oasis of quiet compared with Manhattan, which as we discovered later was gridlocked due to the UN meeting with police everywhere. We gave up on the top deck of the bus as there was so much rain it caused a waterfall down the stairs at every stop and lots of leaks! The traffic meant that the planned route was abandoned too, so we saw streets that we weren't meant to see. A day to remember indeed. Off to LA in the morning...
