Playing hooky

I didn't feel like going to my photography class this morning so L and I went for a walk instead and we both agreed it was much better than being cooped up inside learning all about aperture priority, again.

The downside was that we both left our zoom lenses behind and were cursing when we disturbed a Red Kite which was feeding in one of the recently ploughed fields.  It circled over our heads as if mocking us.

I quite liked the long dry grasses with the small tree in the background.
