Goldie

This beautiful rooster was once head of the chicken family but he has been demoted. Booboo the white cockeral thinks he is top man and he terrorised poor Goldie throughout the whole of spring and summer. Before we demolished the stable Goldie would hide behind it in the long grasses. Now he has a little house amongs the shrubs where he can be on his own away from the others.

Booboo has now given up bullying Goldie who now seems quite happy roaming freely about the field. I noticed another of our roosters putting Booboo in his place. I think we need a few more girls.

The Pecking Order is a strange concept.
