King's College Chapel

I've never been in here before, I've walked past many times, thought about going in but never managed it.

Today, armed with my 'I'm a Cambridge resident, let me into here' card I made the effort.

Amazing is a word which suffers from overuse but it is perfect for this. Apart from a cleaner and a couple of other people it was more or less deserted, it is a quite incredible building. No photograph of mine could ever do it justice.

One of the things that I always find incredible about buildings such as this, is that they were built by people, with no massive mechanical assistance, just lots of people. Fair enough it did take nearly a hundred years to build (the windows took around 30 years ). It is a mind boggling feat.
