In the woods

If you remember Himself and Bill had departed for an extra excursion on sunday morning, pre blipmeet, and had discovered and old house once owned by Bill's ancestors, and a possible holy well. Well, we went back for another look today. A long and elegant boreen lead up to what was once a very handsome house, surrounded by huge trees and landscaped gardens gone wild. A few panes of glass, some wooden shutters, layers upon layers of colourful walls and a servant's bell still remained in situ. We aroused the interest of the current residents who were most curious to see the visitors.
And the well - I reckon it's more a shrine, marking where the the water source for the well further down the stream exists. See extras.

After a grey start it suddenly warmed and brightened and I decided to attempt a swim!  It was seriously freezing most refreshing and I was briefly accompanied by a large seal. I could hear him huffing and puffing.
