Wind, Wind, Wind,

Very windy today, windy so it was hard to walk, windy so one of the large trees in our garden came crashing down, windy so we moved the cars away from the other trees.
But the barn demolishers continued their work. The building was gone and they were now flattening out the huge plot, raising it a couple of meters on the land towards the road. Rocks like the one in the picture were rolled to the edge, end over end, and pushed off. This took some skill because if the machine was too far from the stone it couldn't roll it upright. (The back of the machine lifted instead of the rock.) If it got closer to the rock it could lift it but there was a chance it would roll into the machine when it toppled. I watched for a while but the driver was very skillful and never dented his machine. After the big boulders were rolled over the edge earth and smaller stones filled the gaps and buried the giants. We are wondering if anything is going to replace the barn, or if the plot will become a huge lawn for the house? We shall see...
