Experiment

I have been playing around a little lately with RAW files from my phone. My current device allows me to export dng files directly, so I can process them on a desktop/laptop.
However I have to say I find it hard to do any better in Lightroom on the desktop than the result my phone's internal software can do automatically. There is a lot of powerful clever stuff going on there. I thought with the fairly difficult lighting in the night I might be able to control highlights and preserve shadow details better myself, but the benefits are marginal. I think I won't bother, I'll continue just with jpg, especially in good conditions. 
(Don't look too closely at this one - it is quite heavily cropped! A DSLR would definitely do better).
