White-Faced Heron
One of the things I am enjoying is the lovely diffuse light that comes through the gum trees. I am so used to our dense green canopies at home that reduce the light so much that it is hard to get a good bird shot in the summer....at least for me it is. This heron is smaller than a Great Blue and larger than a Green Heron.
It was a fabulous morning in the Reedy Swamp where we saw black swans, Yellow Rosellas (see extra) and a variety of other birds I am still trying to identify. I have loaded one of them in the 2nd extra. If anyone can identify it, I would be most appreciative.
